I've taken my car here twice now and in both cases they diagnosed and handled the problem very quickly. They communicate quickly and send photos and explanations of everything that needs to be done in order to get your car back in good shape. The prices are always super reasonable and they work with you to get you back on the road safely as fast as possible. As someone who travels a lot for work and moves around a lot it was wonderful to find such a great, reliable mechanic in Newport News. I definitely recommend Professional Auto.
Listening to conversations he had with other customers, it was clear he had a network of contractors in the area. I was in need of help getting a house ready to put on the market. He generously gave me a long list of contractors he uses. I've called most of them and have started the work I needed. I wish his business was located up in northern VA. I would be one of his biggest fans!
I was in town for business and needed an oil change. After reading several reviews of different shops, I chose Professional Auto Diagnostics. I called and made and appointment and gave Michael the year and make of my car. When I arrived, I pulled my owner's manual and was prepared to make sure he knew what kind of oil my car required.
These guys do a great job. I have had my car serviced here about 4 times and have never had one problem. The first time I had my vehicle serviced here, I had a wheel hub replaced and since then my alignment has been much smoother on my car. I have also had several oil changes and a wheel balancing and alignment completed. These guys are honest and really try to provide the best service possible. Jack, the service manager, always provides good customer service and the owner, Mike is great. I am glad to have found a good auto shop. Thanks guys! I don't need to go anywhere else to have my vehicle serviced.
The team recently worked on my car again before a few Summer trips and it was great to know that my oil was changed and tires were rotated. They also did an inspection for me. All done in one place and for a good price. My car did good on my first trip and now I am on to my second. Thanks Mike and Jack!
I asked him to check the tires; did they need rotation? When the car was finished, the bill was exactly what he quoted, with the recommendation that the tires be rotated the next time I got my oil changed.

It is great to know in advance about necessary repairs, and to understand when they can wait for a while. My mechanic in NM operated in a similar way, and he understood that a grad student had limited funds. Professional Auto's people are uniformly pleasant and willing to explain what's going on with my nearly 10-year-old Corolla. I'd recommend them to anyone seeking a mechanic.
