My wife and I have been coming here for years. We have had some very large parties and they are more than accommodating. We love the changes they have made to the restaurant. It's stunning inside. I have never had bad service or bad food. I would say it's very authentic.
They have excellent service and their food is tasty. Particularly the General Tso chicken is delicious. It’s also very reasonable priced!
Ordered Crab Rangoon appetizers, they were flavorless. Wife had sweet and Sour chicken. The sweet and sour sauce was neither sweet or sour. It tasted as if it was very watered own. The sweet and sour sauce for the Rangoon was the same. I had the Kung Po chicken, was mediocre, very bland. This place has awards for best place in the Peninsula, but I won't be returning. Perhaps I just had bad luck. Egg role was best I've had in years though.
They are very accomidating to large parties. I took my family of 24. I called about a week ahead and they set up a special menu. The price was perfect. I cant believe I fed that many people under my budget. We had multiple courses and let with food. Great place for a birthday party. My family has asked multiple times "when are we going back".
I have been here many times and will continue to come back. I am so happy they are finished with the remodeling and understand the long wait when they reopened; truly missed their food. I have celebrated birthdays and office parties at Port Arthur and also come for lunch and dinner. I like how they customize a menu for large parties; tell them what you want to spend and they give you lots of options. I order the family style servings and the food comes out little by little. This allowed everyone time to enjoy a hot platter of whatever you ordered; once your ready the next platter is on its way, nice and hot. The remodeling is nice, I especially like how they are now able to dim the lights in different sections to create a relaxing environment for one group and a bright environment for another group. They are friendly and the food is delicious. I see the one stars listed and notice most of them say they only went one time. Try it yourself and see who you agree with; I'm sure it will be a wonderful experience.
