I am a substitute teacher and I must say that I really like the fact that this school has the open classroom concept. I think this concept works for the most part. And so far this is the only school that does this in the city if Newport News. Bravo Dutrow!!!
ok so i go to this school, and it is meh, the principal is extremely mean and i have NEVER seen her smile except only in a few pictures , she keeps being mean to me and she once called me fat
I want to say this school prepared me for so much .Im a lot older then most of the other people that have sent in a review.Im now in the 11th grade and I can honestly say this school turned me into the honor student I am today.This school prepares students to understand there will be distractions in life but you must overcome them to succeed. I loved this school!!
Today, I graduated from David A. Dutrow Elementary School. After this I will be going to Booker T. Washington Middle School. Dutrow is an amazing school that educates your children very well. 3rd-5th Grade have SOL tests and Kindergarten- 2nd grade don't have any SOLs. Dutrow is the greatest elementary school I've been to. You will also make friends along the way and lose them as you leave Dutrow. I still have all of my friends but that's a possibility and it could happen at any time.
I hate this school!!! It's the worst and corny. I've been at this school since kindergarten and I've only had 3 nice/fun teachers. This school puts pressure on u for the SOL'S just to make there school look good but really it's not!
